Sweet September is right! Its finally here, all this time we have been waiting to sit in our deer stands is quickly nearing its end! Before you know it, we will be taking pictures with one of our most wanted bucks off of our hit lists this year, and it will be on to shed hunting, and turkey season. But you know what, the time is now, and everyone is gathering their trail camera pictures together to develop their hit list as the season opener approaches! So here we go, here is some of the bucks we will be hunting!
This is a really nice 8 pointer we got velvet footage of and many trail cam pictures. We call him the short G3 buck, for obvious reasons, but his G2's have great length and he carries great mass throughout his entire rack. He will be one to keep looking after once his velvet is off.

Here is a new buck we got this year. We call him the split G2 9 because his right G2 is split. I think these deer with split G2's are becoming more and more common. You hardly ever hear of a split G3 or G4 buck, but more so of the split G2 bucks. He is a solid 9 point, and we look forward to having some encounters with him. He runs around with a really long tined tight racked 8 pointer. This camera is in a bottom, and there is a small creek that runs all along this bottom. It is their staging area before coming out into the hay fields in the evenings to feed. There were a lot of scrapes and rub lines in this area, we think it will be a really hot stand this fall!

This next buck is just a beautiful 8 pointer. We call him symmy because of his closely symmetrical frame. He has walked past the camera at many times in one day. He spends more time at this location in the morning than in the evenings we have noticed, so we will look forward to encountering him on a cool sunrise morning. He is one of many bucks that passes this camera. We dont have any history with this buck, but he might make our history.

Here is what I mean when I said one of many that comes by this camera!!!

This is the first buck that we have seen start to shed his velvet.
His right G2 is coming off.

And he finally showed up! The Krab ten or Krabby we call him because of his right G4. It looks like a claw. He is new to our farm, we have never had previous encounters with him or any trail camera pictures. Right now, this is the deer we are going to key in on early season. We got two sets hung for him in this area this past weekend and put the cameras back out so we will check them again this coming weekend. Just a big heavy grey bodied ten pointer that we would be more than glad to take! Funny thing is, he doesnt come by just one time and at one certain time, he will stay around for and hour or two at a time, 3 hours later he will come back and hang out some more. Very visible deer right now! No night time pictures of him!

Just some of the new recent bucks on the hit list! Hope you enjoyed looking and thanks for reading! God bless, be safe, and good luck hunting!
